Distance Learning, Wk. 2, Day 9

Good Morning!
It's the last day of the school week! We made it through yet another week! Thank you for adjusting and trying your best to complete the work!

Today's Agenda

1.  Morning Routines
-Morning Stretch
-Breakfast (I had a bowl of cereal--Honey Bunches of Oat w/almonds, and slices of fresh banana)
-Before you begin, let's focus on our Growth Mindset.
               "I can always improve." 

2.  ELA:
-iReady Reading (Pass a lesson today!) I'll be checking to see if you reached your goal for this week!
-Journal Writing via Google Classroom (I have 3 students in our Virtual Classroom so far!)
 Since only 3 students were able to complete the mission, I will send the rest of you the link to connect to the classroom.  It will be in your inbox of your email.  Please have your mom, dad, or guardian take a look at this.

On the home page, click on Science.  
Select Earth & Space Science.  Next, click on Stars.  There are 6 tabs.  Use those 6 tabs to read about starts in space!  Watch the video of a star close-up!
When done, click on the activity sheet at the bottom of the page.

TITLE:   A Sustainable Urban Garden
ASK:  
What is the Problem? 
The Hawaii Agriculture needs planter ideas to share with different urban communities around the island to promote a sustainable urban garden.  
Define Constraints:           
1.  Only recyclable materials can be used.
2.  Planters must be portable and easily transferable from one location to another.
3.  It must not exceed 2 feet in height, 3 feet in length, and 2 feet in width.
4.  Planters must be able to allow sustainable plants to grow and thrive 
     (You will need about 2 to 3weeks to show evidence of this.)

PLAN:
-Draw it
-Make a list of materials you'll need

CREATE:
-Make it (Create your prototype)
-Try it out
